CL
RF Admittance Level Gauge
The CL series RF admittance level transmitter employs advanced radio frequency admittance technology, overcoming the limitation of capacitive level transmitters which cannot eliminate the effects of conductive buildup. It is suitable for measuring liquid level (material level) in liquids, oils, and solids, with no moving parts. The device is unaffected by water vapor, dust, or condensation, offering long-term stable and reliable operation, high sensitivity, excellent linearity, and resistance to high temperatures and high pressures.
Structural Principle
The CL series RF admittance/capacitance level transmitter consists of a sensor and electronic unit. It utilizes a capacitor formed by the dielectric medium between the electrode and the metal tank wall. A high-frequency signal is applied to the electrode, generating a minute current that flows through the medium back to the tank wall (grounded end). As the material level in the tank changes, the capacitance between the electrode and the tank wall also changes. The transmitter’s solid-state electronic circuits continuously monitor this variation, compare it with a highly stable reference circuit, and output a precise 4-20 mA current signal proportional to the liquid level.
Working Principle
RF admittance level control technology is an advanced development from capacitive level control technology, offering superior anti-material-hang performance, greater reliability, higher accuracy, and broader applicability. In the term “admittance,” it refers to the reciprocal of impedance in electrical engineering, which is composed of resistive, capacitive, and inductive components. “RF” stands for radio frequency (high-frequency radio waves), so RF admittance technology essentially involves measuring admittance using high-frequency current.

These include pump stations, suction wells, various water tanks, chemical dosing tanks, paper pulp, starch slurry, material silos, mineral slurry, water and wastewater, chemical agents, coal powder, fly ash level, acid and alkali solution tanks, rubber, asphalt, etc.
