Weighted Level Gauge
The SE Weighted Level Gauge is designed to measure the level of powdered, granular, and bulk solid materials in silos, enabling users to reliably monitor the material level within the storage container. The device consists of a sensor and a control display unit. The sensor’s design incorporates the advantages of similar products both domestically and internationally, with its unique structure and transmission mechanism overcoming many common issues previously encountered with other pendulum level meters, ensuring reliable operation, minimal maintenance, and broad applicability.
The control display unit employs a 16-bit microcontroller, which programmatically controls the sensor’s entire detection process, processes the acquired signals, calculates the results, and displays the material level digitally on the panel. It also outputs a corresponding 4–20 mA analog current signal . Measurements can be conducted automatically at scheduled intervals or manually as required.
This translation maintains technical accuracy while ensuring clarity and consistency with industry terminology (e.g., “pendulum level meter” aligns with descriptions in 1 and 2). Key features such as programmable control, dual measurement modes, and signal output are explicitly highlighted.
Working Principle
The Weighted Level Gauge consists of a reduction motor, reel (take-up spool), cable (steel cable), weight, pulser wheel, position sensor, and control circuit. When level detection is initiated, the weight descends, and the cable drives the pulser wheel to rotate. The position sensor and control circuit calculate the number of rotations of the pulser wheel, thereby determining the distance the weight descends until it contacts the material. The measured data is displayed on the instrument and converted into an analog signal output .
Key Components and Logic Flow
1.Components :
Reduction motor → Reel → Cable (steel cable) → Weight → Pulser wheel → Position sensor → Control circuit.
2.Process :
Descent : The weight lowers, pulling the cable.
Rotation : The cable drives the pulser wheel to rotate.
Calculation : The sensor and circuit count the rotations to calculate the descent distance.
Output : Displays the level and converts it into an analog signal .
